ALIEN ANGEL BREAKS MAIDEN IN STYLE

ALIEN ANGEL(FR) headed to Cranbourne on Thursday 16 July for just her second career start for the Settler’s Run Maiden Plate over 1300m and she put in a dominant performance in winning impressively. Drawn in Gate 1 ALIEN ANGEL took a few strides to muster and settled three back the rail with a wall of horses both in front of her and to her outside. She relaxed in the run and travelled kindly but with the short straight at Cranbourne she was in a difficult position. Inside the final 400m jockey Jye McNeil was able to angle to the middle of the tracks and find some clear running. Turning for home ALIEN ANGLE was four deep but traveling and she quickly put the race away in the run to the line to win by a cosy 1 3/4 lengths. McNeil commented after the race “Her performance was really good. She exploded away over the final stages and the best part of her race was the final 100m”.
ALIEN ANGEL is by the French based sire ZELZAL, who is a son of Champion Sire SEA THE STARS. She hails from a good German family and she has been given plenty of time to acclimatise to Australia. Connections have plenty to look forward to with this filly who was purchased at the 2024 Goffs Orby Sale for EUR 70,000 by Rob Roulston and Mark Player of PR Thoroughbreds.
