PR THOROUGHBREDS FORMALISE EUROPEAN COLLABORATION WITH MARK RICHARDS

Widely experienced Bloodstock Agent Mark Richards has been appointed as the European Representative for PR Thoroughbreds principals Robert Roulston and Mark Player.

Based at racings headquarters in Newmarket Mark attends all the major sales and race meetings in England and Ireland and it is an easy commute to France.

“The growing internationalisation of the trade in thoroughbreds means that Europe is continuing to become a bigger focus for PR Thoroughbreds. 

"We have clients who are actively looking to expand their portfolios, be it yearlings, horses in training, breeding stock or shuttle stallions. 

We want to be more nimble and there is nothing better than having an operator on the ground that you know and trust and whose values reflect all that we have tried to establish at PR Thoroughbreds,” commented Rob Roulston.

“Having known and worked alongside Richo for over 20 years in Hong Kong, Australia, Ireland and England I know that there is no one better placed to represent us in the European markets.

'His knowledge and experience together with his contacts across the industry means we can have first user advantage in a market that never sleeps,” added Mark Richards.

“Mark Player and I worked closely together in Hong Kong for many years.  We have a similar eye for a horse. 

"In the past few years I have also been working alongside Rob at yearling sales.  The first horse Mark and I bought together was PLEASURE GAINS, a G3 winner in Hong Kong and the first horse that the three of us worked on together is the Stakes Winner SEA WHAT I SEE, who is nearing a return to the racetrack.

"Rob and Mark have over 50 years of experience across the industry and horses that they have purchased have won races like the Melbourne Cup (Americain) and Caulfield Guineas (Ole Kirk) and ATC Champagne Stakes (Nepotism).

"They have bought mares that have been the foundation of some of the best families in the Australian Stud Book and placed leading sires at stud after the completion of their racing careers."
